This painting was a study of the the nuances of the horse's color and bone structure. Making all those transitions with softness. Horses are my favorite subject - there's a sweetness in their soul that just captivates the canvas.
God's glory is revealed all around us, if we have eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to understand.
Lyn, is this your horse? What a beautiful painting. You know your horse anatomy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat. No this is not my horse. I was doing this portrait as a study of the horse's facial structure and coat shine.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite beautiful, Lyn. You were very successful getting the musculature and the glossiness of the horse's coat.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent head! This looks like a young horse. You did a wonderful job. Your love for horses shows!
